Wrap it Up

February 14, 2014

With all of the snow, rain and freezing temperatures wrecking havoc across much of the country, sometimes we just want to curl up in our bathrobe and stay in.

While that isn’t always possible, designers are offering a close “second best,” showing cozy wrap coats that are chic, and practical.

Richard Chai Love wrapped it up in a softly  brushed plaid:

Joseph Altuzarra used bold color blocking and strong proportions for his robe styled coat:

Reed Krakoff kept it minimal with a skinny leather tie, cinching his camel coat:

Sweet Stripes

November 16, 2012

Denim gets the striped treatment for spring ’13, with mattress stripes and railroad stripes taking center stage.  Casual stripes get feminized with modern silhouettes and girlie touches.

Joseph Altuzarra adds a peplum to his zip jacket over slim striped pants.

Ruffian mixes ticking and toile prints.

Rag and Bone adds an eyelet edge to their mattress striped separates.

Marc by Marc Jacobs mixes it up, with a whimsical play on scale.
