Shakin’ the Bacon

Not to be outdone by Denny’s vile bacon milkshake, Burger King recently announced the debut of their new bacon sundae.
Only available in the Nashville location, the bacon sundae appears to be made of soft serve ice cream, and chocolate sauce and is sprinkled with bacon bits. Unlike it’s alleged inspiration, which featured artificial bacon flavored syrup; this is served with an actual strip of real bacon as a garnish.

No word yet on what it tastes like, or the nutritional info. If anyone out there is in Nashville and wants to give it a try, let us know what you think!

Oops, They Did It Again!

Here we go again! Despite the FDA pushing to require all restaurants to display calories nationwide, Denny’s has created another delicacy for the fat and unhealthy Hall of Fame.

The Mac ‘n Cheese Big Daddy Patty Melt featured on the new “Let’s Get Cheesy“ Menu, is described as ” a hand pressed beef patty topped with new creamy Mac ‘n Cheese, melted cheddar cheese and zesty Frisco sauce on grilled potato bread.“

It also features 1690 calories and 99 grams of fat!

With a predicted 50% of all Americans being obese by 2030, this is a contributor to the problem.

Better With Bacon

You know the saying,  “Everything’s better with bacon?” Denny’s is celebrating this concept with “Baconalia”, a “Baconian Feast” featuring 7 new ways to enjoy the meat. The most inventive, (read: disgusting) offering is the Maple Bacon Sundae. Yep, it’s exactly what you thought it was: vanilla ice cream, topped with maple syrup and a generous sprinkling of bacon bits! Just to show you that we aren’t the food snobs you think we are, (okay, so maybe we are) we are giving you the link to a coupon offering you a 2 for 1 deal on this culinary delight! Cheese Please

The food industry just won’t quit. In a time where New York City is posting calorie counts on it’s menus and opening bike lanes, it’s mind boggling that the rest of the world seems to be engaged in a sandwich gross out contest.

Next up in our lineup of disgusting culinary marvels, is Denny’s, with not one but two new high cholesterol, high calorie creations. First up, the Fried Cheese Melt. As part of a value priced menu, this little ditty is only $4.00 and consists of “ four fried mozzarella sticks and melted American cheese between 2 slices of sourdough bread. It is served with French fries, and a side of marinara sauce.” So it’s basically breaded fried cheese, with cheese, and bread that gets re-fried. Oh, and then there is the sauce!

But what about something for the little ones? Denny’s has a Mac and Cheese quesadilla for them! It comes with dessert and a drink and boasts 2300 calories!! According to Denny’s you can add bacon or a “Friendly frank” to enhance the offering . You can also choose from lots of great beverages such as “Cotton Candy juice” as well.
