September 23, 2015

The good news, is that this look is already appearing in your favorite high street stores right now. Not only can you adopt the trend early, you can also be sure that it isn’t a flash in the pan that will look dated next season.

Here is a roundup of a few of our favorite runway looks, and a couple that you can buy right this minute, ’cause we know you’re trendy like that:

Fringe Benefits

September 8, 2014

It’s only been a few days since New York Fashion Week began, but already some trends are starting to emerge.

Fringe showed up on many catwalks, ranging from long fringe, to “eyelash” treatments and frayed edges.

Creatures of Comfort layered fringed knits over crisp cotton shirts:3fc3c6d72d660d7086482d6af6d9d427

Ulla Johnson also fringed her sweaters, worn atop easy wide legged pants:

Tibi added placed fringe to their lean pencil skirt:

Can’t wait to add this look to your wardrobe? No worries! Do as Rachel Comey and Ulla Johnson did, and fray the edges of your pants to get a jumpstart on the trend.

DIY: Cut off the hem of your jeans or heavy weight cotton bottoms. For a more refined look, stitch along the edge about 3/8″ up from the bottom to prevent the fabric from unravelling further during wear. Toss them in the washing machine, and trim the edges to take off the super long pieces and you’re good to go!
