Slide Show

The pitter patter of little feet will be coming to an office or restaurant near you. No, we don’t mean someone is expecting a baby. We’re talking about slides and mules, those late 90’s throwbacks that make a rather annoying sound as our feet slap about when we walk.

This time around, there are lots of variations to the theme. From pancake flats to chunky block heels, there’s one thing to be sure of… they’re back!

Low heels and closed pointed toes make these mules almost seasonless:

Simple slip on slides in tumbled leather or metallics:

Ancient Greek Sandals, Everlane, Mansur Gavriel, Bottega Veneta

Wide crossed straps, embellishments and chunky soles take “shower shoes” to the next level.

Chunky heels and peep toes in colored suede, denim or floral prints modernize the mule and are the perfect warm weather option that’s not too bare:

If last year was about the Birkenstock, this summer will be all about the designer Dr. Scholl:

Whatever shape you choose, it’s time to slide into summer!
