There is a modernist femininity emerging from the Spring 2013 catwalks. Rounded sculptural ruffles were seen from some of the biggest names in fashion.

Gucci showed large scaled bias ruffles in bold, bright colors.

Nicholas Ghesqueire worked his ruffles in graphic black and white for Balanciaga.

Chloe took a softer approach, in neutral tones.

Marc Jacob’s “Factory Girls” featured a bias ruffle on a structured top. Pants optional.
